I was involved in SAE fuel economy tests on heavy trucks. A heavy truck will lose 0.1 MPG for each MPH above 55 up to 65. I'm sure the drop gets larger above 65 mph. The big problem is the amount of wind resistance you encounter at these speeds. Regardless of ... Login to read more.
