Re: Why does it require more to jump a plug gap 'backwards'?
The spark does not jump directly from one electrode to
another, but from one electrode to the nearest fuel
molecule, to the next nearest fuel molecule, and so on,
until finding the other electrode. The spark always takes
the path of least resistance. ![]()
