Lewis, on a DIS system the Event Spark fires on the TDC compression stroke which uses about 95% of the secondary voltage. The companion cyl. firing at TDC on the Exhaust Stroke uses only about 5% of the secondary voltage which is referred to as the Waste Spark... Login to read more.
