Jason, Ive seen a similar scenario where water-intrusion at a PCM connector shorted a 12-volt feed to a coil-command signal wire (to the base of a transistor) and caused repeated failures of the coil. the real kick in the pants is the short wasn't consistent.... Login to read more.
