How much current can a single strand pull?

Just asking, was playing around the other day and had a 2 inch piece of 18 gauge wire strand hooked up to a 9006 bulb-pulled 3.89 amps. Tried a blower motor 9.98 amps and was still not melting or turning red. Sure was not going to touch it though. Just wonderi... Login to read more.
