You've got this figured out already I'm sure but I had the mirror image of your problem several years ago on the same drivetrain. I had diagnosed a MIL/TCC fault code as a bad driver in the ECM. Car ran OK, kind of a crappy idle, but the only customer complain... Login to read more.
