Re: What causes Battery explosions?
When a battery gets low, the plates are exposed to air.
Corrosion builds up and sometimes causes the plates to make
contact. That's an internally shorted battery. The short
builds up hydrogen levels in the top and then all it needs
is an ignition source. ![]()
