Ethanol requires more BTU to turn into energy. That's why you notice a slight drop in MPG, because it takes more to burn. In state of CA, they now allow Ethanol up to 15%. So if it takes more to burn, injector on-time is gonna be longer compared to regular gas... Login to read more.
