engine oil cooling lines

Why are there engine oil cooling lines on a CM pick up? They did not use them in the 80's and older. I did not know if it was because the coolant temp is higher (196 VS 180 ), oil is thinner (5W30). These engines run lower rpms and don't work as hard the same ... Login to read more.
