Update:

There is a TSB (NTB06-075, dated Nov 1, 2006) which covers this specific battery cable condition for:

2004-2005 Maximas (3.5L V6 is the only engine)

2004-2007 Quests (3.5L V6 is the only engine)

and 2004-2006 Altimas with optional 3.5L V6
