Daniel,

The coil primary resistance is usually on the order of 0.5 ohms. It can be pretty tough to measure this resistance with an ordinary digital ohmmeter. Even if you get an accurate reading, you then have to wonder what it means if the coil measures 0.4 ... Login to read more.
