If they run 87 octane fuel in an engine that calls for 92 octane, they can damage the cylinder walls from excessive pre-ignition. An engine that calls for 92 octane fuel is a high compression high out put engine. 92 octane fuel is less volitale than 87, there ... Login to read more. ![]()
