David, power is I(squared)R, it is NOT as you stated I(Squared)/R. This is the reason why: P =EI, E =IR, so P = IR x I or I(Sq)[...], in a given circuit, with a constant resistance, if the current were cut in half then the power would be 1/4, or, as another eg... Login to read more. ![]()
