I'm sure a lab could tell the difference, but in my pickle jar experimentation, DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 all respond visually the same, including the "snotty slime" test by dipping the resultant mix with a screwdriver. DOT 5 is it's own animal. That's new and... Login to read more.
