There appears to be a nice horsepower gain when going from 1.5 to 1.6 rockers on a SBC. Given, of course, that the rest of the engine is built to take advantage of them. It's been years since I looked into it but I think a 10 to 15 horsepower gain was typical.... Login to read more.
