Your assessment is correct. The "M" (Monitor) terminal conveys to PCM the duty cycle of the regulator. When this duty cycle is maxed out (at 100%), the only way to have additional amps is to raise the RPM, which the PCM does. And mostly in idle, and in a heavy... Login to read more. ![]()
