FWIW, there are probably ways to do it, albeit illegally. A buddy of mine back in tech school installed a full exhaust on his Acura RSX (didn't have a cat) and a computer chip that would keep the OBD2 cat monitors ready. Don't know how it did it, but it did it... Login to read more.
