I think you have hit the nail on the head Byron. Under "operating conditions", not "sitting on the shelf" automobile tires tend to lose 3 psi per month on average where nitrogen filled tires tend to lose 1 psi per month. I am pretty much quoting this ver batim... Login to read more.
