Actually, it's sort of a combination. It takes fairly high RPM for MG1's peak voltage to reach the level of the battery, especially in the 1st-gen Prius which is parallel-wound and for all intents and purposes cannot crest the 273V rails at all. Otherwise you'... Login to read more. ![]()
