Dave, if you lack a scope to look at primary, scribe a paint mark 1/4 turn (90 degrees) after the TDC scribe on the damper. Then look with a timing light clipped to #5 to see if its firing at the correct time. If you've got an "extra" primary event, you'll see... Login to read more.
