Hi Jack , I recall rebuilding an old Mercedes diesel , 190 I believe , and it had a throttle valve on it linked to the pump . I have noticed if I cut air to a diesel it rattles less at idle , anyone doing this on todays diesels , or have they forgotten maybe . Login to read more.
