I guess I had my basics mixed up. We do so little anti pollution( due to no emissions tests and no regs.) repair that we forget. I thought 50% of the egr's job was also to reduce combustion chamber temps to also reduce/prevent knock/ping. I guess the 10 yr old... Login to read more.
