SAE 30 only indicates a viscosity of somewhere between 9.5 and 12.5 Cst at 212F (100C).

The 5W-30 is a 9.7 so it is actually very close to being a 5W-20.

The 0W-30 is a 12.1 so it is actually very close to being a 0W-40.
