That's a rather confusing question. EGR does add inert gas to the cylinder charge. It's not replacing oxygen atoms, but rather diluting the fresh air charge as a whole. I suppose you could consider that as replacing oxygen, but I dodn't think that's an accurat... Login to read more. ![]()
