Are you sure about the 0.100 AC ripple indicating a bad diode ?. My Fluke Manual says 0.500 volts AC indicates a bad diode. My Snap-On manual refuses to give an AC voltage spec, saying that different manufacturers allow different amounts of AC voltage. ... Login to read more.
