Hi Rusty,

Perhaps this photo will help. This shows the pump intake close up with the screen removed on the 1996 Caravan referenced in that post. As you can see, the pump only can draw fuel from inside the cup. It has no connection to fuel on the outside. Fue... Login to read more.
