Tom, the reason nitrogen is used is the lack of moisture,less pressure change due to temp. Nitrogen is inert. A smart fellow told me, And I guess I accept, that all gasses expand at the same rate. So even with dry air you will see pressure changes due to temp.... Login to read more.
