Hi Ron, this was called variable exhaust, when engine speed reached 3,400 RPM, or more depending on load, an electric motor located in the trunk opens a shutter valve allowing exhaust to directly leave the muffler. The reason was to improve high speed performa... Login to read more. ![]()
