Re: What gases constitute the inert portion of exhaust gases?
To keep it simple, 80% of the air intake is nitrogen. The flame front and associated heat, heats the nitrogen causing expansion of the gas and technically nitrogen is pushing down the piston. It is more complex but that has been easily understood by my student... Login to read more. ![]()
