The auxillary brake vacuum pump on this car only works for a short while (2.5 seconds) after a key on cycle. It DOES have a cutout switch that stops pump operation once vacuum reaches a preset level but it takes approx 6 seconds (three key cycles) for the pump... Login to read more.
