I change o2s as PM(every 5 years or 50k miles),because eventually they become lazy or biased,& they're difficult to trouble shoot sometimes as the cause for nox failures ,drivability etc. As to the smell,it is probably the sulphur in the fuel ,Most GMs do this... Login to read more.
