I agree with your test, except a 5/16 bolt oiled at 30 ft lbs is high. You've exceeded the strength of the bolt IMHO. I didn't check specs, but they are generally 20ft/lbs, not 30. So, 30 ft lbs would exceed the elasticity of the bolt if done dry a few times, ... Login to read more.
