When I go out on a limb it usually snaps off. Here I go: The Cavalier in question doesn't use MAF, so the MAP is an integral piece in fuel control strategy. So the MAF defect set the EGR code before setting a fuel control code. Not the best idea, but it worked... Login to read more.
