Re: 'Most' Onoard Computer Sensors Use 5-volt Reference--Why 5?
Your small computers use 5 volt supplies for TTL protocol
on the circuit boards and the typical computer chip uses
this for power. Modern CPU's use less to reduce heat and
some chips also need +12, -12, and/or -5 volts.
