Re: 'Most' Onoard Computer Sensors Use 5-volt Reference--Why 5?
Ford reckognized a need to use a voltage that was below the
minimum voltage during engine cranking. The settled on a
9.0 volt refference voltage for there late 1970s EECI
system. This carried over to EECII and EEC III. ![]()
