One of the reasons for GDI is to run a/f ratios up around 50:1, I don't know why you'd need EGR at those sorts of ratios since NOx doesn't get produced anywhere near that range. Mitsubishi has completely redesigned the piston face where the fuel is being spray... Login to read more.
