It's copper sulphate, caused by traces of battery acid (sulphuric acid) seeping into the cable. A new cable that is heat-shrinked well at the terminal will retard this; keeping the post or stud area clean and sealed will prevent it. On the heavy duty cables th... Login to read more. ![]()
