Wow. I didn't believe it, but it's true. The 1976 Motormanual lists evaporative emissions devices and the AMC system of 1970-1974 without charcoal canister stored the evap emissions in the valve cover, to be routed to the intake on startup via the PCV valve. ... Login to read more.
