Good point. The "5W" in 5W-30 basically indicates the viscosity of the oil at sub-zero temperatures. The "30" in 5W-30 indicates the viscosity at temeratures closer to operating conditions - 100C (212F) and 150C (302F). So a 0W-20 and 5W-20 should be similar i... Login to read more.
