It used to be MUCH worse decades ago. I remember us using 45 gallon drums of 20w50 and 10w40 at BMW. It was Castrol GTX if I remember correctly. We sometimes used the empty drums for odd stuff and cut them up. It was amazing how much ash deposit was at the bot... Login to read more.
