G'day Paul, yes the sticky tar is always in the inlet manifold and inlet ports, very common with many CRD,s not just Mitsubishi, although there was a upgraded inlet manifold made for the early 4M41,s, I don't think it did much apart from not blocking the boost... Login to read more.
