Louis,
I'm saddened to learn of this today as I remember Carl very
well. I met and chatted with him multiple times over the
last 22 or so years and I was always fascinated to hear his
interesting stories. One of those times was in his bus at an
iATN event in Ontario CA where he was recovering from a
medical condition and still found a way to attend the event.
If I remember right he was planning a cross country
motorcycle trip which I believe he completed some time after
that event.
The last time we met face to face is at the iATN gathering
he coordinated back in 2009 in Hot Springs Arkansas. There
were quite a few members there with cameras so I hope to see
others sharing memories of Carl and that awesome event.
Here are a few images that I took at the event:

Btw, earlier this year members started asking about Carl and
this is where he resurfaced and provided some clarity for us
all:

He was an awesome supporter of the industry and iATN as
well. We really appreciated his efforts and communications
over the years. He will be missed and in his memory, I will
be getting my bike out and taking a ride in his honor.
Godspeed Carl!
Regards,
Scott
