If the wire(s) are broken I have found that it is easier to replace the wire than try to strip the old wire and solder it in place. I have a roll of flat four wire I purchased at Radio Shack that works great. Cut it to length, pull off the one extra wire, strip the ends and solder it in place. I solder the small circuit board first since I can position it better when the wires are not connected at the other circuit board.
