2000 Mercury Mystique, Fuel Supply Photo
2 weeks of exposure to a dirty fuel tank resulted in the fuel pump module strainer becoming this dirty. Ford TSBs identify this as a known issue. 'failure to flush a tank may result in a failure of the newly replaced fuel pump'.
