2001 BMW Z3 Roadster 2.5L p1620 VIN: WBACN33431
Had three codes P1620, fuel trim and Mass air sensor code. replaced the maf sensor, two codes cleared but the P1620 did not. I can't find any info on diagnosing this code on Identifix or IATN.

Thank you for all of the replies. As it turns out the IBS was at fault, due to this being a "blue efficiency" unit, it would tell the alternator to stop charging when it felt it had enough power. Because this signal was skewed (bad IBS) that was our failure.
