| 2002 Volkswagen Passat GLS 1.8L MIL Lamp on VIN: WVWPD63B52 THanks for the help on this one. The fix was the upstream A/F ratio sensor. It appears, from the replies, that the downstream is used to test how trustworthy the upstream is. In this case the upstream was not so trustworthy.
