Thanks to all who replied , the amount of oil build up was indeed normal. I was just a bit nervous reinstalling the intake without investigating . Valve stem seals are completed and no smoke after several days of running. Thanks Dirk

Thank you to all who replied. I had inspected the wiring harness pretty carefully but decided to actually load check each coil circuit. Sure enough two of them would not trip the breaker on my power probe. I found a splice in the rear of the engine that looked... Trouble codes: P0352 (Ignition Coil B Primary/Secondary Circut), P0353 (Igniton Coil C Primary/Secondary Circut), P0355 (Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary Circut), P0358 (Ignition Coil H Primary/Secondary Circut), P1368 (Ignition Spare Monitoring Circut Shorted to ground or power), P0134 (Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 No activity detected).
