out of desperation I ran two new wires from ecm to abs module. got first gear back. I could not find any reason why I had checked the two wires numerous times with no problem found, I did not load test wires, maybe that would have shown me something.

Replaced the purge valve and the P0455 hasn't come back in 200 miles. The EVAP readiness monitor hasn't completed yet though. Trouble codes: P0455 (evap emissions large leak).

First thanks to everyone and their input. Well we will call it fixed. Took your advice and changed throttle body and pig tail. It has been several weeks, and so far so good. Thanks again to everyone.
