thanks alot guys for the responses. it was the crankshaft sensor pigtail that was the problem. replaced the sensor as well. Trouble codes: P0230.

2004 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4L MIL Lamp on VIN: 1FTPX14584
This one was just dumb- we missed the fact that the cam had jumped a tooth on the passenger side when rail failed. We retimed cam- all is well. Thanks! Greg and crew
