Thanks for everyone's help. We used only the long block, keeping the original wiring harness, intake and exhaust manifolds, coils and valve covers. the engine started right up with no problems and runs great.

Thanks for the ideas what next step should be taken, but customer decide not to go any further. He thought it was something simple and quick fix. We told him we are not even done diagnosing the vehicle. I'll update this if anything new come up, thanks. Trouble codes: P0300 (Random misfire), P0307 (Cyl. 7 misfire), P1316 (Excessive emission misfire fault), P1314 (Catalyst damage bank B misfire fault), P0430 (Cat below efficiency bank 2), P0420 (Cat below efficiency bank 1).
